Notes:
Native to stream banks and moist cliffs; best with ample moisture.
Some cultivars have notable fall color. Twiggy enough to be recommended for screening even in winter, at least by UConn. Growth rate is debated.
Takes rejuvenation pruning if necessary.
Dove/Woolridge relegated this plant to their secondary list, but the only bad thing they had to say about it was that it wasn't as ornamental as the plants on their primary list.
