Trachelospermum jasminoides
star jasmine, confederate jasmine

Notes:

Not recommended north of the warmer parts of both Sunset zone 32 and USDA zone 7 (at least not without protection), but 'Madison' is hardier, and 'Variegatum' may be as well. AHS is an outlier on the conservative side.

Twining climber (needs support). Otherwise, grows taller as a groundcover than T. asiaticum and still flowers, but has less attractive groundcover habit than that species (coarser and less uniformly dense). May sporadically rebloom. Legendary fragrance.

Tolerates alkaline soil. Best flowering in full sun but may be subject to winter kill there.
