Buchozia japonica
snowbush, snowrose

Notes:

Formerly Serissa japonica or S. foetida.

Not recommended north of USDA zone 7 without protection.

Popular for bonsai, even indoors, despite its picky tendencies. Evergreen only in frost-free locations; more herbaceous when temperatures drop to the low 20s F. Prune after bloom for greater density. Leaves stink when bruised/crushed.

Prefers stable temperatures with few extremes. Prefers morning sun and afternoon shade.
