Ilex 'Mary Nell'
Mary Nell holly
Notes:
A female hybrid of I. cornuta, I. pernyi, and I. latifolia; this listing also serves as a catch-all for the Red Hollies series, which supposedly arose as seedlings of this hybrid.
Not recommended north of Sunset zone 32 and USDA zone 7.
My personal favorite foliage of any holly.
Fruits mildly poisonous.
