Ilex 'Emily Bruner'
Emily Bruner holly

Notes:

Not recommended north of Sunset zone 32 and USDA zone 7.

A female hybrid of I. cornuta 'Burfordii' and I. latifolia. 'James Swan' is the intended male companion, but as with all hollies, any male holly that flowers at the same time should work.

Tight even in part shade, so particularly good for screening.

Mulch preferred. May need more nitrogen than other hollies to keep its dark color.

Fruit slightly poisonous.
