Lithocarpus henryi
Henry tanbark oak, Henry's stone oak.

Notes:

I suspect NCSU stole their copy on this tree from Dave's Garden user coriaceous's review of it, since it's far more casual and judgmental than NCSU's usual encyclopedic tone. Said user confirms Dirr's claim of hardiness to USDA zone 6 (specifically, Boston area) despite NCSU and AHS saying zone 8 only.

Easy to transplant.

May benefit from high conifer shade to prevent winter discoloration.

Oddly, this tree is on Dirr's list of fragrant plants, but he does not mention it in the descriptive text (same in Dirr/Warren), and neither AHS nor NCSU says anything about it either. I have therefore refrained from so tagging.

Sources: Dirr, AHS, NCSU, Dirr/Warren.
