Zenobia pulverulenta
dusty zenobia, honeycup

Notes:

Anise fragrance.

Despite tolerance of wet/boggy soils, still prefers good drainage -- it is in the heath family, after all. I would assume that wet soil is better tolerated when in full sun. Missouri BG and NCSU outnumber USDA on the question of sandy soil tolerance.

Despite being native, zenobia is listed by Doug Tallamy as supporting no butterfly/moth larvae.

A number of selections have been made with almost silvery blue foliage, including 'Blue Sky', 'Misty Blue', and 'Woodlanders Blue'.
