Abelia chinensis
Chinese abelia

Notes:

Not recommended for Sunset zone 37 (stops at 34).

Noted for attracting butterflies; Missouri BG also claims that the blooms may be the most fragrant of any abelia. Long bloom period (until frost), with showy persistent sepals making it seem even longer.
