Rhododendron 'PJM'
PJM rhododendron

Notes:

Technically a group of cultivars rather than just one.

Rated 4 (out of 5) for both flower quality and shrub quality by the American Rhododendron Society. Small leaves that are aromatic when crushed/bruised. UConn asserts "general" seedlessness, which I don't interpret as a guarantee.

Hardy to -25°F and blooms early. More adaptable to different soils than most rhododendrons. "Easy to grow" tag is relative to other rhododendrons.

May be overused.
