Notes:

Apparently, should properly be called Salvia yangii since 2017, but it has not caught on yet and I doubt it will any time soon.

Leaves aromatic when crushed; NCSU claims that just brushing is enough. The aroma is pungent and oily, resembling that of rosemary. Long bloom period (deadheading helps).

'Little Spire' has earned the PHS Gold Medal Award.
