Spiraea × vanhouttei
Vanhoutte spiraea
Notes:
Hybrid of S. trilobata and S. cantoniensis.
As with all bridal wreath spiraeas, all blooming stems should be cut back to the ground after bloom. Fall color is not reliable.
Druse claims an off smell ("bleachy or fishy") to the flowers, but nobody else mentions this.
'Snow White' is more compact and self-cleans spent flowers.
