Notes:

Native to moist mountain slopes.

More tolerant of dry heat than P. japonica, but intolerant of humid heat -- not recommended south of Sunset zone 34. Also resistant to lacewing bugs and does not need much fertilizer.

Leaves and nectar poisonous. Fragrance is slight but still stronger than P. japonica.
