Notes:

Intolerant of clay unless on a slope. Can be kept smaller in containers. Apparently the most heat-tolerant larch, as it is the only one Sunset recommends below zone 36, but still described as intolerant of heat and humidity.

Deeply taprooted despite the fast growth rate, yet somehow still completely intolerant of drought.
