Notes:

"Exceedingly tough" (Sunset). Foliage strongly aromatic when bruised, which Missouri BG and UConn call unpleasant.

Susceptible to Phomopsis tip blight, but the cultivars improve on this. Also susceptible to Botryosphaeria canker and Phytophthora root rot. Resistant to cedar-apple and cedar-hawthorn rusts.
