Philadelphus × 'Starbright'
Starbright mockorange

Notes:

Cross is P. delavayi ssp. melanocalyx × lewisii, neither of which is considered invasive in the East like P. coronarius is. Moreover, this hybrid is sterile anyway -- which is actually the entire reason I am listing it here.

Claimed hardy to USDA zone 3. Flowers appear single and therefore should attract butterflies (as per Sunset, among Philadelphus only the single-flowered varieties do so -- I believe this is because double flowers don't allow butterflies to get at the nectar).

Takes rejuvenation pruning if necessary.
