Not recommended for Sunset zone 37 (stops at 34 and 39). Sparse root system complicates transplanting; recommended from containers (and/or root prune?).
Self-sows. Seeds mildly poisonous.
Trailing groundcover forms such as 'Emerald Carpet', 'Repens', and 'Scarlet Leader' are better known in USA commerce; these, and not the species, justify the groundcover tag.
