Cotoneaster dammeri
bearberry cotoneaster

Notes:

Branches root as they go. Difficult to clean of fallen leaves.

Sparse root system complicates transplanting, so planting from containers is the way to go (and maybe root prune?).

Avoid hot summers. Tolerates heavy pruning.

'Skogholm' is notably fast-growing, spreading a few feet each year, and seems to be a favorite test subject for academic research experiments (at least concerning container culture), for some reason. 'Coral Beauty' has glossier foliage and more fruit.
