Cotoneaster apiculatus
cranberry cotoneaster

Notes:

Branches root as they go. Suitable for use as large-scale groundcover.

Difficult to clean of fallen leaves (another reason to favor siting in full sun).

Tolerates rabbits. Stems smell of cherries when broken. Sparse root system complicates transplanting (root prune?).
