Aristolochia macrophylla
Dutchman's pipe

Notes:

AKA A. durior.

Twining vine (needs training). Can grow 15'-20' in one growing season. Water and fertilizer speed growth.

Showiness of flowers, of all things, is debated.

Traditional usage is to shade a front porch... ironic, then, that NCSU gives this vine their "extreme flammability" rating and strongly discourages planting close to a house.

All parts poisonous and may cause kidney failure.
