Notes:

Blooms on new growth. Appears to have the widest native range of any of the native American Hypericum species listed here. Medium tolerance of anaerobic conditions. Needs more fertile soil than H. densiflorum.

Native to well-drained woods in the mountains and piedmont. Bir suggests liming every few years.
