Prunus × incam 'Okame'
Okame cherry
Notes:
It seems to be fairly common to misspell the hybrid species name as "incamp".
Not recommended for Sunset zone 37 (stops at 34 and 39).
Very early flowers; may be sensitive to early frost. Good for underplanting. Low chilling requirement, for our southern readers, though fall color is only showy in the north. Only Missouri BG and Dirr claim the flowers are fragrant, and even then only mildly.
Poor compartmentalizer of decay.
