Idesia polycarpa
igiri tree

Notes:

Not recommended for Sunset zone 37 (stops at 34 and 39).

Some individuals are monoecious. "Tiered" branching. Pyramidal in youth, rounded with age. Fruits, borne in panicles, are exceptionally showy. Pollen (males only) may be allergenic.

Dirr/Warren warn of scarily fast growth (at least in Oregon) and qualities that could make it invasive, even though they have not observed actual evidence of invasiveness yet.
