Notes:
Tropical look. Late to leaf out. Suckering habit and sharp spines suit barrier use well. Texture is fine in leaf but coarse when bare.
Noted by USDA as a high moisture use plant and likes a somewhat deep soil.
Bark and roots may cause contact dermatitis. Fruit mildly poisonous.
