Notes:

This video was 1% inspiration and 99% Photoshop.
(Okay, so Premiere was also used, but there was a heck of a lot of Photoshopping involved.)

It took me 3 months of on-and-off editing to finish, but I'm quite glad I did it. It was a crazy idea that got into my head and would not go away until I'd made it.

The concept: An alternate opening sequence for Evangelion, modeled (quite heavily) after the Cowboy Bebop opener.

The version that was shown at Anime Central had no show credits ("music by Shiroh Sagisu", "directed by Hideaki Anno", etc.), while the AnimeNEXT and Otakon versions did. The version that's available for download also has the credits. I don't know why you would, but if you want a version without the credits, let me know.

No studio bumper on this one. I figured it would not be good for the effect.

Credits music: The Super Mario Brothers 2 Super Buck Jazz Overclocked Remix, performed by Estradasphere (I think...)
